Crouse Honey is North Texas’ source for premium raw honey. Our honey bees spend their days pollenating the fields of North Texas, and make honey from the clover plants native to this region. The result is some of the best tasting, most versatile honey on the market.
Our honey is a wonderful Paleo sugar alternative, and is great for coffee, tea, cooking, and even brewing beer. We are proud that our honey is used in 903 Brewers’ Land of Milk and Honey Stout.
However, Crouse honey is more than just a sweetener, and is most commonly used to combat seasonal allergies. Since our honey is not heated, pasteurized, or processed in any way, pollens and enzymes from local allergens remain in the honey. When taken daily, the pollen in our honey can help desensitize those that are susceptible to local allergens, much like an allergy shot.
Raw, local honey has numerous other uses. According to the National Institutes of Health, honey is hygroscopic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and has remarkable debriding action. This makes its uses span from soothing a nasty cough and treating wounds to boosting memory and aiding digestion.
